Registered Training Providers

The Construction Training Fund actively promotes the key role of Registered Training Providers (RTPs) in the delivery of VET in the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).

The Construction Training Fund works closely with RTPs in metropolitan and regional WA as part of its Schools2Skills program, which provides students with information and support about school-based pathways into a career in the construction industry.

Try-a-Trade is the first step in the Schools2Skills program. RTPs receive funding from the Training Fund to deliver short, unaccredited courses to Year 9 and 10 students that offer a hands-on experience to help them make a more informed decision about choosing a career in the WA construction industry.

RTPs delivering Try-a-Trade programs can lodge program details and claims here.

The Try-a-Trade is a key entry point for students into a recognised Certificate II construction qualification as part of a Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) during Year and 12 studies.

The Training Fund can also fund RTPs to deliver nominated construction qualifications to students as part of a WACE.

RTPs delivering recognised construction VET qualifications for WACE can lodge claims here.
